![]() I was there at one point with my computer as I could not figure out why one game on certain maps and in certain locations would freeze the game. I've used CCleaner before to clear/free up memory and clean up the registry (not recommended as it can possibly screw up the registry and prevent Windows from booting) but as long as you don't do it repeatedly over a short time (keep running the program after every cycle), you'll be fine. Then you know something is on that drive causing instability issues with games. What you can do is when your PC is off, unplug the SATA data cable going to your motherboard so it removes the drive from the OS and try and play a game just to see if that was the cause. Yeah I don't suspect that drive to be at fault here. ![]() And we are sure it's nothing to do with the power of the PSU and the GPU power spikes? I mean PCpartpicker said the recommended wattage of this PC is 461W so that's why I wouldnt be certain its the PSU either. If that doesn't work either then Im not sure whats going on and I might have to completely erase windows and reinstall it or something. So even though the drive is slightly dodgy I don't think it would be that either. The drive is quite old but the only large drive I have and i have quite a lot of games although it did still have the same problem when I tried a game on another drive. ![]() Well I think I have all the drivers I need. I've been searching around online and some have suggested using CCleaner to repair/clean Windows up to resolve this 0x80000003. How old is the drive? If crashes are occurring throughout the PC on other drives, then this drive is not the issue. At least there is no signs of corruption on the drive. If you don't have RAID and NVME storage, then don't worry about it. You just need just the drivers for whatever hardware you have in your PC.
